Finnish solo project Desecresy will be back later this summer with new full-length album Towards Nebulae, not so hot on the heels of 2017’s The Mortal Horizon, which saw the band go to solo mode from being a duo. Desecresy’s label Xtreem Records released a taster track from the upcoming album this week, and it promises to continue in the same vein as previous outings. Cosmic darkness, cavernous murkiness, guttural; slow and crushing. Whilst this taster advance track is good, I feel that Desecresy has always worked best on album-length, not as single tracks, as the doom-filled cavernous heaviness reaches full potential only after a while of laying it on. Needless to say, we’re looking forward to this album.
